Use multiple words

Multiple words will return more refined results. (Note that relevant results are returned even if they don't contain all query terms.)

Use similar words

eg. consent or submission or application

Searching is case-insensitive (eg. River is the same as river).

Use quotation marks

Words in quotes will match exact phrases.

Use 'and', 'or' and 'not'

and "words must appear in results", not "words mustn't appear in results". Boolean expressions can be grouped using parentheses.

Search automatically adds endings

A search for kayak will also match kayaks, kayaked, kayakers and kayaking.

Search tips for discussion

AND is the default. That is, a search for dog and cat returns all messages that contain those words anywhere.

QUOTES (") allow searches for phrases. That is, a search for "dog cat" returns all messages that contain that exact phrase, with space.

MINUS (-) eliminates words. That is, a seach for dog and -cat returns all messages that contain dog but not cat. You can MINUS a phrase in QUOTES, like dog -"siamese cat".

The engine is not case-sensitive and searches the title, body, and author.
