Friday, 21 September: No rain is forecast over the weekend and the release has been cancelled. The back-up day of Sunday 23rd September is also cancelled.

Natural flow downstream of Whakapapa Intake. This release will only proceed if there is more than 16 cumecs of natural flow at the intake. If there isn't enough water, the following Sunday is a back-up date for the release.

No rain is forecast and the decision has also been made to cancel the back-up day of Sunday 2nd September.

[Update: Friday 23 September] Genesis advise that the Whakapapa release has been postponed to Sunday 25. Rain is forecast for Saturday night. A final decision on the release will be made early on Sunday and will be notified here and via twitter.com/whitewaternz.
