The weekend is held annually in both the North and the South Island. The aim is to encourage female paddlers at all levels and ages. This year we're heading to Taranaki on the weekend of 2-3 October. Meet outside Taranaki Canoe & Kayak at 8.30am on Saturday 2 October. What we run will largely be dependent on flows - but previous years have involved a Grade 2 run on the Saturday with some safety practice (likely to be Meeting of the Waters at this stage), and a harder run on the Sunday for the more advanced paddlers in the group.
