Tongariro release (Poutu, Access 10)

Date:
Saturday, September 16, 2017 - 09:00 - 15:00

Note, James Rae (Access Officer) has spoken to the rafting companies and the Forestry guys and the takeout access will be fine for the release weekend. When they start logging close to the road in a few weeks time the access road will be closed for about 6 weeks and a lower takeout (e.g. Red Hut Swingbridge/Trout Hatchery etc.) will have to be used instead. The logging will be finished by the next release weekend but there may be some further announcements with ongoing access due to the new landowners.
