Regarding the top forks section (3+ - 4)
Would appreciate any information regarding this run,
ie access, flows etc

me and a few on the local paddlers here in the wairarapa have talked about sorting a mission up to the mid waiohine. so flick me an e mail if you are keen to talk more

Not a hundy on flow mate, but the walk in is bitch. Up to powell hut then down to waiohine hut is not the kindest walk, especially with a boat. Would be awesome trip though. Id recomend getting out at bridge at the end of Waiohine gorge rd, at the swing bridge there. Easy walk up, nice camping area, its just class 1-2 boggie water from there down and getting out is a tad harder to spot. Get in contact with waiarapa OPC for more info.
