Boat in Manawatu gorge

Just read in the Welly paper that a green kayak's been found in the Manawatu gorge, as well as a couple of rafts... odd + hope all OK. There's been a chopper out so if anyone knows whose it is and the owner's OK it might be worth letting the coppers know as it'll be costing a bit in search + rescue $$
