anyone done any boating in the chathams? ie WW not sea kayaking?
ive seen some definate potential - apparently theyre looking to make a hydro scheme on the river though...same as always!

anyone?

Yeah mate, I been scoping these out myself. Some good size waterfalls where they gunna put those hydro schemes ae. I know of atleast one WW kayak on the Chathams... I saw it in a boat shed when I was over there.

Im not sure of the size of the other creeks and things... but if your keen to hit them up gimme a buzz. I'm real keen to get amongst it over that way. You been there before?

And yes there are some fricken meeeeeean surf breaks over there. Sharks are an issue fer sure.

yeah thats what i found on google too haha, then google earthed it - pretty much 3 main drops with a few rapids. theres a few interesting creek names on the topo map though - cascade gorge, falls creek etc etc so could be more to find?

probably some sweet surf breaks too but i hear its super sharky?
