Grade 2 paddlers

Hi
I'm wanting to meet up with some peeps that are newby's to kayaking and wanting to do grade 2 rivers. I live in Auckland and am keen to car pool.
We are planning grade 2 runs on queens birthday if anyones interested.

moving water is easier, the water does most of the work for you. great if you are lazy like i am!!!

learn to roll then you don't have to restrict yourself to flat (2) water! good luck though, hope you have fun!!!

Hey Ally, I did see the trip coming up but we are off to sydney that weekend. (dam it) I would have been very keen.
We are looking at doing Aniwhenua and Tarawera queens birthday. I have just put a post on the Waikato Club website and may put a post up here.

Hey.
Lots of grade 2 paddlers and above in Auckland Uni Canoe Club. Heaps of non-student members too. Have a trip to Tarawera and Waioeka coming up which is suitable for beginners with a roll. Where are you going for Queen's Birthday? Check out the website www.aucc.org.nz for more info.
