Logs in Waihohonu

We ran the Waihohonu on 6 June 2010. There is a river wide log jam on the first right hand bend which has to be portaged at normal flows. This is after the first tree that you can paddle under, by the way.
Further down there are several other river wide log jams which need to be portaged including one log right across just above the normal portage to avoid the waterfall etc.
Recommend you don't take new grade 3 paddlers down there at the moment - it is an accident waiting to happen.
