Wairoa River McLaren Falls

McFEEG Inc. is a newly formed community group dedicated to improving and enhancing the McLaren Falls access for Kayakers, Rafters and the general public. As users will be aware, many safety issues arise during release days and we have spent many hours trying to improve these. There is now a new vehicle access track up behind the Power Station which should be used to offload gear and then move cars to the carpark up the hill. It will be unlocked on flow days. We have also cleared much of the scrub to make it easier for you to launch kayaks. Please help keep the bridge clear for traffic.
