What is the moderation policy for these forums?

All messages to these discussion forums are moderated. That means that Whitewater NZ volunteers will actively erase any message that is regarded as disrespectful, off-topic, abusive, obnoxious, or otherwise outside the public spirit in which these forums are made available. If you have a problem this policy, you can discuss it with us. Of course, if you still don't like this policy, you are free to create your own website...

Can anyone use them?

These forums are provided by the Whitewater NZ to foster communication amongst all recreational canoeists and kayakers in New Zealand. They are primarily devoted to non-commercial use though commercial messages may be posted provided they are on-topic and occasional (ie. no more than one per month).

If someone persistently infringes the moderation policy or interferes with the website, then we will ban the user based on user name, email address or IP number. We may contact your ISP with details of misbehaviour and request your Internet account be revoked.

Can I use HTML tags in my messages?

A limited number of tags are available for use in your messages.

Do messages expire?

Messages are purged from the Buy, Sell & Swap forum after approx. 60 days. Messages in other forums may persist for longer.

Why didn't my message show up?

Your message may not have appeared because your browser cached the forum page. Try refreshing or reloading the page in your browser. Holding SHIFT and selecting the Reload or Refresh button will force the document to be sourced from the original server.
