Land use consent RM060938 for removal of vegetation, stock piling of soil and gravel extraction.

Land use consent RM060937 to construct weirs and intake structure and spillways, pen stocks, power station, temporary ford and associated use of bed of Lake Matiri and Matiri River.

Water Permit RM060939 to dam Lake Matiri.

Water Permit RM060940 to take water from Lake Matiri.

Discharge Permit RM060941 to discharge water from Hydro Electric Power Station to the Matiri River.

The specific parts of the application that the submission relates to are the entire application.

The NZRCA submission is to oppose the application due to its potential adverse effects on the important kayaking amenity of the Matiri River.

The NZRCA has not been consulted in respect of this application.

The NZRCA seeks that the consent authority decline the application, or alternatively grant the application on conditions that protect the kayaking amenity afforded by the Matiri River.
