Anyone wanna go paddling in Canterbury?

Would anybody mind an Irish paddler tagging along on any of their trips? I should be available for the month of January. I have all my own gear, boat, transport etc. If grades mean anything to you, I suppose I'm a competent grade4 paddler but willing to paddle anything. I just want to get on the water before I leave the country. Currently I'm floating between Rakaia and Christchurch, but will travel for rivers.

Happy to provide shuttle, rescue and biscuits :-)
