This little run inland from Greymouth is where a lot of people learn there game, Taipoutini Polytech rafters and Kayakers, local coast beginners, even commercial companies use this river a lot. As little and as un-intimidating as it is, it has an abundance of eddy lines, and features to play and learn on, very accessable, user friendly. I hate to admit it but i've paddled, rafted, tubed, canadian canoed, C1ed, duckyed, sit-on-toped and swum this section close to 100 times, inclusive of the odd extreme flood run where everything else on the coast was be washed out, and the odd moon-lit steamy nite time pilgramige.
Save the Arnold!!!!, (and Kaituna, Gowan, Hurunui......)
