I'm having a hard time
I'm having a hard time attaching the flyer so here are the nuts and bolts:
Customised WRT course for kayakers and river users wanting to advance their rescue and safety skills and gain an international qualification.
Three day course with 1/2 day theory, 1/2 day practical and then two intensive days on the river covering signals, throwbags, entrapments, strainers, wraps/pins, zip lines, combat swimming, spinal rolls, helicopter safety, river crossing, etc.
NZQA unit standards are available and assessed at an extra cost, please inquire before the course begins.
Paddling skills are not taught in this course, participants must be comfortable paddling grade two to attend this course.
Equipment requirements (Student to supply)
Full length wetsuit or drysuit
Kayak Type Personal Floatation Device/Vest.
- Must have quick release strap & cows tail.
Lightweight water or climbing helmet
Water booties or tennis shoes
Gloves (optional)
Thermal undergarments
Whistle (pea-less type)
Warm change of clothes.
Towels (2).
Lunch, snacks, drink bottle.
Pen/Paper.
Water throw bag (optional)
Personal medication.
If possible, bring your Kayak and paddle too.
