To All Interested Parties,

Attached is the invitation to comment on the proposed amendment to Part 91 of the maritime rules. The amendment among other things, is concerned with the legitimising for an interim period the continued use of non-certified but fit-for-purpose PFDs in kayaking and canoeing applications. It also specifically removes any application of Part 91 PFD requirements to commercial rafts.

While comments are formally requested by 31 October, we will continue to accept comments for a reasonable period after this date.
